hello there :) have you ever been in the situation when you don't understand anythign of what you read or hear in a lesson, but have no idea what questions to ask? What do you then do? how do you stay focused when reading, and writing? any tips and tricks on how to write constructive notes?

curious greetigns from voiceofjoy.

Well, for one thing, if you don't understand what you're hearing or reading, it will be hard to take constructive notes.
But I too, had trouble taking notes on a section in my mythology book because I was disinterested. And thus, I didn't understand it.
I agree, it is quite difficult.

If you're in class and you're having a difficult time understanding what the professor is getting at, take notes as best you can, but write yourself a note in parentheses reminding yourself to get help. Afterwards, when you have the chance, see if your notes or the lecture material corresponds at all with the textbook (sometimes textbooks can give more detailed explanations of the material covered in the lecture). Or, you could always ask a classmate if they understood the material--chances are if you're confused, you're probably not the only one. And of course, it's never a bad idea to ask the professor for help after you've had time to gather your thoughts. Good luck! I know how frustrating this can be.

You can also use the internet. I think I was having trouble understanding something in science. I punched it in the Google search and got some assistance there.
